UTN family is a dedicated group of independent artists/producers trying to find a "home" in the music industry. The stable is constructed of 7 individuals who just so happened to meet in up here in Alaska. Big-D The Lyricist (Devon Shaw), Citisin-K the Red Faction Leader (Keoki Tafaoialii), Reggie White the Prez (Joab Giossi), K-Bazz The Kashman (Keith Aumevea), The Chosen One (Justin aka JJ Odom), and Lady-A -*-LiL MaMaZ-*- (Ariel Turpin), and newest artist MR.C (Chad Billups) are the people who makes up UTN Records. All of us come from different backgrounds of music in Hip-Hop/Rap and R&B, that’s why we try to make our sound as diverse and original as possible. With Respect for every style in Hip-Hop is how we successfully created our own sound. Pulling from West coast, East coast, and down South we have proven ourselves to be not only very versatile MC's but also versatile producers and song writers. All of our beats our made by eihter K-bazz or Chosen 1 and sometimes Big-D using only a esoniq keyboard, sometimes a korg karma and a boss DR-880. We work together constantly and built this business by ourselves from the ground up. UTN for those who don’t know means Unite The North. The reason for the name is because we all met each other and founded this business by fate. We united together not only as friends but as musicians with visions, ideas, and ambition. We hope to in our career help other Northern locals expand and get there sound out so that people can see not only us but all the undiscovered talent that’s just waiting up here to be discovered. Big-D the Lyricist has dropped his first album under the label called "This Is My Story As I Tell It" which should be in stores soon (get at us for a copy otherwise) and is also workin on his new double disk album called "The Man and The Poet". JJ The Chosen Ones debut album entitled "This Is Who I Really Am" is complete and should also be in stores very soon (get at us for a copy otherwise). Chosen 1 has also started on his 2nd album called "Korrupted" (title subject to change". Reggie White the Prez's new Album should be dropping shortly named "Headline", K-Bazz will be releasing his album called “Sittin’ On Top Of the World”, also Citisin-K and Big-D will be dropping an album later this year as well. The group as a whole is making UTN Mix tape featuring the entire group together on one compilation, no dates or plans yet for this project have been made. UTN also has a mini mixtape/demo entitled "All In The Family" that has just been released. We do this music because we love it, not necessarily for money or fame but because we are all MC's with talent and voice to be heard. We try to reach out to people threw our music instead of just trying to get paid. It’s these ideas that are one major thing we have in common, our love for Hip-Hop and just music in general.
