ASCAP member Jessica L. Fenton is making an outstanding impression with her EP,"Inform The Entrepreneur". What is most remarkable about her music is that it is entirely Jessica. She performs every aspect of her music, the drums, guitars, bass, piano, vocals, and drum programming. Every instrument she plays demonstrates quality, and is evidence of her overall musical talent and ablitlity. Her vocals are strong and precise, and the way she layers each part fits like a puzzle. The only thing that would have made it even easier to enjoy her music is if we were sent a copy of her lyrics.
"Should Be Fine," is the first song on her EP and anounces her pop rock feel. The blend of electric and acoustic guitar is perfect. The chorus is catchy, and the whole song makes you want to move.
"Wool," is number two, and is the best of the three. The chord changes refreshingly catch you off guard, and the entire song structure is unique and flows flawlessly. We could easily listen to this song over and over again. There's just something to love about the whole thing. The ending is at times the most difficult part to write, but Jessica finished off this song perfectly. REALLY great song!
"What Were You Expecting," is the final song on Jessica's EP. This song is also a good one, but does not feel as strong as the other two. The ending is weak, and it does not flow from section to section like the others do.
Jessica is definitely entertaining and talented. It was a priviledge to review her music, and we hope to her more very soon!! Keep up the excellent work Jessica!!
