Bio

Emcee Edge (Red Lake, MN)

By now most people are familiar with the long history behind Emcee Edge. Most people are familiar with his agressive approach to touring, his crazy onstage antics, and energetic performances. For those of you who dont know, heres a short re-cap of the last couple years.

Emcee Edge had his breakthrough in 2005, after struggling to get his name out in the local scenes across the midwest since 1999. Emcee Edge hit the road on a two mini-tours across the Midwest, as well as numerous summer festival appearances that gained him a loyal following in many states and cities. With shows in such cities as Duluth, Superior, Mandan, Dickinson, Bemidji, and the Twin Cities, He finally began getting recognition nationwide for his efforts and his art-form. People took notice. All this was accomplished without ever releasing one press kit or an official album, only a handful of self-released demo's and word of mouth were to blame for what would come the next year.

2006 was a busy year. This year people would get to chance to see Emcee Edge all across the United States. First up was the "Poets & Hustlas" tour that took Emcee Edge as far east as New York City, and as far west as Flagstaff, all in the month of March. Second was the "Territorial Pissings" Midwest tour in November, that brought him into new markets such as Madison, and Sioux Falls, as well as re-visiting all previous cities he had ever played in the Midwest. When he wasnt constantly touring day after day, Emcee Edge was still rocking shows wherever he could. He still managed to log on over 20,000 miles to his touring resume even after taking off most of the prime summer season due to a severe injury that prevented him from touring. This year also saw Emcee Edge release a few more demo's, and announce that in the new year people would finally get to see his long awaited debut full length surface.

In 2007 Emcee Edge promises more performances and tours, and the release of his highlty anticipated "Daily Reflections" album. This year Emcee Edge is holding himself to his motto "Who Knows Where The Hell I Am?" in dedicated to his love of touring and performing. With such sheduled tours as his Midwest "Underground Assassins" tour in February, a venture back to the east coast in April, and a proposed tour of the United Kingdom in September, Emcee Edge will more then likely be rockin' a show in your city in 2007!
