Hi my band, Emerging From Below, is looking to find some gigs and we were hoping to play at any a semi professional venue for hype. We were wondering what we could do to get booked anywhere. Our band is a rock, metal, alternative band with a twist. We have a girl lead singer and a male vocalist/drummer. Our styles are similar to Atreyu, Paramore, and Flyleaf, but some say our music sounds very Iron Maiden or Metallica-like, but we also have a punky side as well. We do a heavy amount of acoustic work as well. Recently, this band has won first place (high school division) and second place (overall) in the City of La Palma Battle of the Bands. We've worked hard and have all the right equipment.

Here's our myspace if you would like

Our Purevolume is: http://www.purevolume.com/EFB

Our Band members are spread out from Central Anaheim to Cypress to La Palma, and I'd say we can attract 25 to 30 people to show up to one of our shows

Bio

EPIC EFB QUOTES

"We can't drink from this trophy. I like this one better."-Brian

"The Band is one instrument we play as a whole." -Brian

"Playing without a lead singer is like trying to play a solo with a missing string on a guitar. We can have to move 5 frets up but its awkward." -MelHey, Mel here from Emerging From Below. The dates 4/16/08, and I'm really freaking sick, my thoats messed up so i cant sing. Here, i decided to write a little about the band. Well this thing started out as a solo project when I was bored at home and couldn't sleep. The first song was Sunset named after.... my guitar. My bro Paul and I always wanted to start a band since sixth grade and we've started several bands, I'd have to say 4, but they never materialized. I've been in six bands, my former band Burning Affinity/Valkyrion , but this band has gotten the farthest compared to them all. Well to get back on topic, I met andres the summer of 2007 and he wanted to start a band too, but i never go to start it with him then until about Christmas time of that year. The band started moving, however I was the main vocalist and guitarist for a long time, Paul was Guitar, and so was Andres. I was able to cover the bass parts and the drums, but then i realized my vocals are not the best. I remembered i wanted to start a project with Annes Kim over the summer, but then i lost her number. When i started to get back in contact with her the instrumental side of EFB's album was complete, and lyrics were sort of there too. Annes was like the icing on the cake when she finally, joined the band. The band was set. We first recorded a cover of I'm so Sick and our first complete original was (Burn co written by Andres). The song was great. From then on everything from there was downhill. We just needed a Bassist. My ex-Bassist Brian constantly asked me for a band that he could play in. Finally i asked him. Then it was a done deal. Now were off looking for gigs. Hit me up-- or the rest of the band. Peace --Mel

Hey its Andres here from EFB. So basically I play the guitar in the band. I got lucky and the first band that I joined is successful. One day Annes, Mel and me were three way calling and we said three random words and we came up with Emerging from Below. Every time we meet its awesome we always have lots of fun and get better all the time. I see us rising up or "Emerging" from nothing into what could be and will be the coolest band that rocks your socks off. Paul, Bryan, Mel, Annes and me have the most fun and its freaking hilarious when we got Bryan rolled. Also Mel hugged everyone and said that he loved each of us and Bryan said that he had aids. It was hilarious. This band kicks butt and this album is gonna rock. Make sure to go to all of our shows fans. Oh and don't forget to buy some tees and merch. This was Andres saying peace. --Andres
